‘Welcome to the Oktoberfest of Cold Chain Industry, India Cold Chain Show 2016!’- This is how Reed Manch Exhibitions introduced the 5th edition of the event. The event was organized at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from 17th to 19th September 2016. A concurrent conference was also organized during the event where many eminent speakers participated and shared their ideas & thoughts about the cold chain industry in India.

This year also Holland was present in the event as the PARTNER COUNTRY and some five Dutch companies were the part of the Holland pavilion. Apart from this there were 3 other Dutch companies who participated outside the pavilion. Mr. Wouter Verhey, Agriculture Counsellor of the Embassy of the Netherlands, New Delhi was present during the inauguration & briefed the audiences about the Dutch expertise in Cold Chain & how it is going to support the Indian demands & the food security across the nation.

The show witnessed some 120 exhibitors and around 4000 visitors in three days. NAFTC-India facilitated the participation of two of its Dutch Potato Cluster members. Mr. Prekash Ramsingh, NAFTC-India Director was present in the show for supporting the members & for business networking. “We tried to understand the technology, it’s usages & benefits and had some very nice conversations with the exhibitors aiming at how we can support each other” he said after the show. Also NAFTC had discussions with FCAOI for the event in coming year, especially the Cold Chain Seminar & the Mission to Potato Europe 2017. NAFTC also connected with some state associations of the cold storage owners & have planned to participate in their annual events.
