The Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India organized All India Cold Chain Seminar 2016 at Hotel Clark’s Siraz, Agra on 16th & 17th of July 2016. The event was supported by NAFTC-India & the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands associated as Partner Country with the event. The two day seminar pulled some 1000 cold storage owners from across the country, most of with were the potato storages. Apart from this there was also turnout from local farmers, media, state & central government. For day 1 Hon’ble central minister of food processing Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti was the chief guest along with the ex-minister and the Member of Parliament from Agra Shri Ram Shankar Katheria. For day 2 minister of state Shri Ram Sakal Gurjar was the chief guest along with Mr. Pawanexh Kohli, Chief Advisor & CEO of NCCD. Along with the seminar there was an exhibition in the same venue. There were some 61 exhibitors from the cold chain, potato value chain, services, education, banking etc. Holland had a separate pavilion in the exhibition hall where 4 Dutch companies participated as exhibitory & they were supported by NAFTC & the Embassy during the event to facilitate so business leads & discussions. The participating companies were- Bayer, HZPC, Mooij Agro & Omnivent. From NAFTC-India Mr. Prekash Ramsingh (Director NAFTC-India) & Mr. Praneet Pathak (Cluster Manager) and from the Embassy Mr. Anand Krishnan (Deputy Agriculture Counsellor) & Ms. Pooja Chaudhry (Senior Agriculture Policy Advisor) participated in the event.
